Meals for Blended Students and Connected Students

Due to federal funding, the district is able to provide free breakfast, snacks and lunches to students on campus daily. Grab and Go lunches will still continue at Theuerkauf as they have been occurring while in Distance Learning. Breakfast and snacks are cold. Lunches will be hot. Menus and nutritional analysis are posted at https://www.mvwsd.org/nutrition. There will be a vegetarian option each day. Our Food and Nutrition Services Department may be able to meet some specialized dietary restrictions. Please contact the department at 650.903.6965. Gluten free lunches are not available. Students may bring their own snacks/ lunches if desired.

Daily Health Screener

For students returning, parents will receive an email and text message early each school day from Reminder@oktoreopen.com. This online survey has four simple questions about your child's health. Please complete them and click submit (either by text or email). The screener needs to be completed first thing in the morning before children come on campus. Since it is so important for everyone's safety on campus, failure to consistently complete the screener will result in the child being moved to distance-learning.

Within the OK to reopen platform, parents can adjust the settings to receive text or email only. Additionally, questions can be answered for more than one child within the same window, using the drop-down menu at the top right. It is not necessary to download an OKtoReopen app.

Superintendent's Community Check In on Friday

Please join us for our Community Check-In with Dr. Ayindé Rudolph on Friday, March 19 at 3:30 p.m. Bring your questions. Spanish interpretation is provided. Click here to register: http://mvw.sd/8rOES

2021 Stevenson School Social Parties

Sign up to host a Stevenson School Social Party. Since we cannot hold our favorite in-person social events this year and still want to encourage community building and social connections, we have School Social Parties this year instead. What’s a School Social Party? It’s similar to a subscription party, where we ask you to come up with an idea and throw a party, but instead of selling party tickets, it will be free. Hosts can either request reimbursement* or get a donation receipt for their party expenses (*please check with Liesl & Sarah about the amount before submitting an expense reimbursement form). You can get together with your classroom, committees, friends or host one by yourself. See more details in the flyer, and for any questions, please contact Liesl Guting at lguting13@gmail.com and Sarah Higgins at sarahcelmerhiggins@gmail.com.

Women’s History Month

In the month of March, we are celebrating Women’s History. BetterTogether recognizes the people, movements, and ideas that challenge expectations and gender stereotypes that negatively affect us all. From women’s suffrage to the gender equality movements of modern day, it has become clear that when we all fight gender inequality, we all win. Celebrate this month by having meaningful conversations with your students, your children, and your fellow s(heroes). In addition to the infographic, this month we will also be highlighting amazing women from our organization and learning about the s(heroes) that have inspired their own commitment to gender equality.

For a closer look at this month’s infographic, click on the attached flyers or visit https://www.mvwsd.org/bettertogetherMVWSD.
