Dear Stingray Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to inform you about our upcoming school-wide behavior expectations reset scheduled for next week. As you may know, we conduct these resets multiple times throughout the school year to reinforce our core values and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment for all students.

What is a Behavior Expectations Reset?

A reset is an opportunity for us to revisit, review, and practice the expectations that help our school community thrive. Teachers and staff will take time next week to explicitly reteach and model appropriate behaviors in various school settings, including:

  • Snack & Lunch Areas: Emphasizing cleanliness, respectful eating, and following adult directions

  • Recess: Highlighting safe play, equipment use, inclusivity, and respecting boundaries

  • Bathrooms: Reviewing proper bathroom etiquette and cleanliness

  • Outdoor Hallways: Practicing appropriate hallway behavior and transitions

How You Can Help

Your support is invaluable in reinforcing these expectations. We welcome your partnership in several ways:

Discuss the expectations: Take a moment to review the attached behavior framework with your child

Use consistent language: Reinforce the same expectations when your child is at home

Ask questions: Encourage your child to explain what they learned during the reset

Model respect: When visiting or volunteering on campus, model the behaviors we expect from students

Provide feedback: Let us know if your child mentions specific areas where they need additional support

Below, you will see a copy of our expectations matrix. Printed copies are available in the front office.

In service,

Megan Pohlman, Interim Principal
