Dear Stingray Parents and Guardians,

I am happy to inform you that PACT Foundation is continuing with the tradition of having a PACT Players Spring Musical.   Thank you to parent Katy Crain for taking the lead on this! Please read their announcement at the end of this message.

We are having a whole-school PBL Exhibition Night on Thursday, Dec. 12.  Every student presents their project to any parents visiting their table.  This is also a great opportunity for you to visit other grades as well. Exhibition Night is 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

Below is the slide deck from the K-2 Early Literacy Science of Reading Parent Workshop.  It has great information, even if you did not attend the workshop,  We will be having a Literacy workshop for grades 3,4,5 parents on Tuesday, January 28th at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom.  Mark your calendars!

PACT Players Spring Musical Announcement
We are thrilled to announce that Katy Crain will be directing the PACT Players Spring musical, Rumplestiltskin (adapted by Shauna McGuiness)! The show will take place the weekend of April 25th.

To ensure everyone has the information needed to participate successfully, Katy will be hosting Parent Information Sessions on Zoom:

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend one session, even if your child has participated in previous PACT Players productions. The session will cover important details, including expectations, time commitments, and the volunteer roles that must be filled to ensure the success of the show. Audition details will also be covered.

Auditions for students in 3rd-5th grade will take place after school in Room 1:

  • Wednesday, December 11

  • Friday, December 13

Every student who auditions will be cast in the show. There will be a participation fee through PACT with scholarships offered to students who qualify for free/reduced price meals. The fee amount has not yet been determined.

Following tradition, and given the high level of interest, the production will be open to students in 3rd-5th grade and will be double-cast to provide more students the opportunity to shine on stage. Participating in a school musical is an exciting and rewarding experience, but it also requires a significant investment of time and effort from both students and parents.

Our productions depend on the support of parent volunteers to bring the show to life. There are many opportunities to get involved, from helping with costumes to managing ticket sales, and these will be discussed in detail during the parent information session.

We look forward to working together to make Rumplestiltskin an amazing experience for our students and school community! Plan to join an info session to learn more about this exciting opportunity.

Warm Regards,

Terri Lambert

Principal, Stevenson Elementary

The Holiday Boutique is a great place to show off your wares and sell them. We are seeking students, parents, and alumni to come make this event amazing. If the following descriptions fit you, we are looking for you!

  • Do you have "handmade" items to sell? (ex. last year, kids made some pretty cool crafts, earrings, scarves, cookies, hot chocolate etc to sell to our community. We have alumni that come back every year to also sell their goods!)

  • Do you have an amazing creation you'd like to display to show off your mad skills?

  • Do you have a "make-it" type of activity to share with your friends? You can teach others to make it too! Some kids last year also "sold" this service too! They provided the materials and instructions, and kids/adults walked away with a new skill!

Vendor sign-ups are open. You can sign up via this link or the QR below.
