Stevenson Stingray News 08.06.20

Dear Stingray Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Stevenson Elementary School staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! A special welcome to our kindergarten and new Stingray families.  I hope that you all had a safe and healthy summer. My family has enjoyed playing a lot of games in the backyard and riding our bikes around the neighborhood.

I know that we were all hoping that we would be able to return to school and see each other on campus.  Please know that the health and safety of our students, staff, and parents is our top priority. Our district has been hard at work throughout the summer to ensure a safe reopening. Although we are starting the year with Distance Learning, our goal is to continue to build community and provide a great learning experience for our students.

I look forward to “seeing” you all at the upcoming school meetings and the first day of school!

Below are important school and district announcements.  Please take a few minutes to read.

Again, on behalf of the entire Stevenson staff, welcome!

Ryan Santiago

Please take a moment to reply only if your children will not be attending Stevenson Elementary School, no later than Monday, August 10th. Materials Distribution

Stevenson will be scheduling a materials distribution on Friday, August 14th.  We are excited to share that each student, kindergarten - fifth grade, will be receiving a new Chromebook. The materials distribution will also include student supplies and curriculum materials that will support distance learning. It is likely that not all supply shipments will come in at the same time. Therefore, parents may be asked to pick up supplies at several distribution dates, in order to ensure students have items soon after delivery. Thank you in advance for your patience with multiple dates.

The following supplies will be provided to all students:

Pencils; Sharpener; Scissors; Glue sticks; Markers; Crayons or Colored pencils; Highlighters;

White board sleeves (sheet protectors), markers, and eraser; Notebook(s) and journal(s) (depending on grade); Drawing and/or construction paper; A container/bag; Eraser; Index Cards; Paper (Blank, lined, and/or graph); Pens; Ruler; Headset; and Sticky Notes

Principal Santiago will be sending out more details next week regarding the material distribution pick up procedures.
