01.13.2021

Dear Stingray Parents and Guardians,

Over the past couple of days our students have had the wonderful opportunity to attend two virtual authorvisits. On Monday, 3rd-5th grade students were able to join Lincoln Peirce, author of Big Nate and Max and the Midknights. Over 900 students joined this author visit! Earlier today, 1st-3rd grade students enjoyed a visit from Julie Berry, author of Happy Right Now. Julie Berry read her story with a message about emotions and mindfulness. Another special thank you to our Librarian Sarah Donahue and all the librarians throughout our school district to make these author visits possible for our students.

A friendly reminder that student enrollment and registration begin this month. New Families enrolling into our district for next school year are able to register now through February 5th. For returning students to our district, families will be provided an email beginning January 18th.

Sincerely,

Ryan Santiago

Principal, Stevenson Elementary

Meal Train and Gift Card Donations

I hope you and your families are staying healthy during this unprecedented time. We currently have a family within our community that would be appreciative of meals support. We will be planning to provide food/meals to the family over the next several weeks. If you are able to support by providing meals/food, please sign up using this Google sheet. We are hoping families will be able to supply at least 2 meals of their choice when they sign up. The family has no dietary restrictions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our School and Community Engagement Facilitator, Taraneh Ahmadi at [email protected].

Another option is to purchase Safeway gift cards to support families in our district during this time. Electronic gift cards should be sent to Taraneh Ahmadi at [email protected] and she will maintain them for distribution to the families. You are welcome to donate more than 1 gift card. Each individual gift card should be no more than $20 to make it easier to split them up among families in our school. Use this link to purchase $20 gift cards. You can buy multiple $20 gift cards. Thank you for your support to families in our community during this time.
