05.25.22

Dear Stingray Parents and Guardians,

It can be difficult to find the words to express how we are feeling with the tragedy this week at Robb Elementary in Texas. Our thoughts are with the families that lost loved ones and for the community of Uvalde, Texas. Like all of you, I have children that attend school each day and have been holding them a little tighter each morning and when coming home from work. Superintendent Dr. Rudolph shared an email this past week with a resource on how to talk to children. If your family or child would like any additional support, please contact our school’s front office.

Sincerely,

Ryan Santiago

Principal, Stevenson Elementary

Please help us keep our 1:1 program and student devices in good working order by making sure your children (grades TK-4 only) return their Chromebooks to their homeroom teachers before the last day of school. All students (grades TK-7) who are not returning in the fall should turn in Chromebooks by June 3.

Due to increased support from our donors, MVEF has nearly met the stretch goal to raise an additional $300,000 to hire two additional English Language Arts teachers next year, one at each of the MVWSD middle schools. We are happy to announce that MVEF has committed the funds to the District so they can hire the ELA teachers. We are so grateful for the support we have received, and are looking forward to seeing the benefits of smaller class sizes to our students’ education next year!
