Dear Stingray Parents and Guardians,

For student and staff safety, it's very important for our school to limit points of entry during school hours. As you know, we have been working on enabling the locks on our field gates during the school day. Beginning Nov. 27, the field gates and front gates will be locked from the outside shortly after the last morning bell rings.  Parents will be able access school field gates for student pick up when the dismissal bell rings. The public will continue to have access to school fields on weekends and on weekday evenings after 4 p.m. at elementary schools and after 5 p.m. at middle schools.  If the gates malfunction after hours, you can call (650) 526-3248 x1004. Thank you for supporting our safety procedures.

Remember that all students are tardy once the 8:10 a.m. bell rings (even if the gate is not yet locked) and must enter school through the front office to receive a tardy slip in order to enter class.

Arts Focus started today!  Thank you to Nagehan and Rimma and their huge team of volunteers for a smooth experience for staff and students. Check out the Stevenson Facebook page for photos of the Global Beat session!

United Against Hate Week is Nov. 13-17!  We have activities planned for each grade (Thank you ImPACT leaders) and our Student Leadership group has planned a Kindness and Inclusion Challenge.  The activities for this week count toward the required activities to obtain the No Place for Hate designation for our school  from the Anti-Defamation League.

Warm Regards,

Terri Lambert

Principal, Stevenson Elementary

ImPACT Book Club

Come join the ImPACT book club for our first meeting of the year on Tuesday November 7th, 6:30-8pm for a conversation related to youth mental health based on John Green's book Turtles All the Way Down. We will meet in the Stevenson library.

Reading the book is optional but it is a relatively quick and enjoyable read that can be found easily in bookstores, libraries, in ebook, and auditory formats.

It is a great way to connect with other Stevenson parents and community. This is a low pressure environment and everyone is welcome!

Babysitting is being offered.

Please use this link to let us know if you can attend/need babysitting. If you have questions, contact Angela Hutton via email: [email protected]
